什么是标题ix?

美国.S. 教育部 民权办公室 (OCR) enforces, among other statutes, 第九条 of the Education Amendments of 1972. 第九条 protects people from discrimination based on 性 in education programs or activities that receive federal financial assistance. 第九条规定:

No person in the United States shall, 以性别为基础, be excluded from participation in, 被剥夺…的利益, or be subjected to discrimination under any education program or activity receiving Federal financial assistance.

Some key issue areas in which recipients have 第九条 obligations are: recruitment, 招生, and counselling; financial assistance; athletics; 性-based harassment, which encompasses 性ual assault and other forms of 性ual violence; treatment of pregnant and parenting students; treatment of LGBTQI+ students; discipline; single-性 education; and employment. 也, no recipient or other person may intimidate, 威胁, 强迫, or discriminate against any individual for the purpose of interfering with any right or privilege secured by 第九条 or its implementing regulations, or because the individual has made a report or complaint, 作证, 协助, or participated or refused to participate in a proceeding under 第九条.
